  • The technique to navigate correctly in Kayak is above all a matter of knowing how to paddle. When sitting in the kayak, keep your back straight and bend your knees slightly. Hold the paddle with your hands wider than shoulder width apart and the concave side of the blades facing you.
  • For the Kayak to start gliding over the water you will need to lean forward, slide the paddle into the water near your feet, then pull the paddle through the water towards your seat and out of the water. You will have to alternate the two sides to propel yourself forward.
  • What you must do to turn the kayak: if you paddle only on the right side, the kayak turns to the left, and if you paddle only on the left side the kayak will turn to the right. If you need to stop your Kayak or brake in motion, drag your paddle blade into the water.
